Cards are an essential part of checkout, but they aren’t everyone’s first choice. In many markets, customers prefer local methods such as bank transfers, mobile wallets, QR codes or cash at a store. If they can’t find theirs at checkout, many simply leave. Offering local methods in addition to cards means fewer abandoned checkouts and more completed sales.
A customer who can’t find their usual payment method often abandons the purchase. Offering it can significantly increase your conversion.
Local methods are offered alongside cards, never instead of them. Card customers still pay by card; everyone else gets a method they know.
